LOVE IS IN
And I'm excited to hear your story.
I try not to take myself, or my profession too seriously — at least where it counts. The last thing I want to feel like at your wedding is a vendor. Instead, I’m a friend who happens to also be a professional wedding photographer. We'll have a kick-ass time, I promise.
Packages include eight or ten hours of photo coverage, high res images delivered via web gallery, print rights, and an engagement session. Second photographer included in ten hour package. Coverage starts at $4500.
If you're eloping or traveling out of the Midwest area for your wedding I assure you my bags are already packed and my passport is current. I love travel just as much as the next person. Let's go!

MORE THAN A VENDOR
I'm so happy you're here.
First, I want to remind you of how incredibly special this time in your life is. You’re planning to marry the one, and that’s pretty amazing if you ask me.
My shooting style is simple, laid back, and all about capturing you two 100% as you are. We’ll stay clear of the overly posed stuff, and I’ll let you two get wrapped up in one another. I’ll guide you into the shot I’m going for, so it doesn’t feel awkward, and we’ll do an engagement session so you can get a feel for what it’ll be like the day of the wedding.
I truly care about my clients and I value each story that comes along with them. If we work together it’ll feel more like a friendship than a boring business transaction. I don’t have time for that and neither do you. You’ll be able to ask me anything and know that I have your back during the entire planning process and on your wedding day.
It’s pretty simple… the more comfortable we are with one another, the more amazing your photos will be. So let’s skip the overly posed stuff, keep it real and have a good time!

I’m April Zelenka, a wedding photographer, graphic designer, and wannabe interior designer. I live in the tiny town of Black Earth (Google it, it’s the only one on Earth!) with my husband, Cole, and my son, Weston. My favorite movie is Tommy Boy and I enjoy frequent trips to Homegoods and Target. I appreciate bottomless fries, sarcastic humor and lazy days at home with the family.
My inspiration comes from nice people, muted tones, hazy morning skies, music, weekend getaways, intimate gatherings, white space, road trips, tattoos, windblown hair, and keeping things simple. I’m always up for travel and exploring new places. If you’re planning a destination wedding count me in. My passport is always current!
